"A refined all-in-one from MFNY with true Sour Diesel flavor and a clear, energetic effect, better than the 510 version of this strain."
Quick Take
Refined AIO hardware paired with true Sour Diesel flavor and a clear, energetic effect. This is the best version of MFNY's Sour Diesel I've had, edging out the 510 I tried across a range of batteries.
Look & Feel
Great hardware with a nice finish on the plastic, and it seems set to a good temperature for the oil. The only minor gripe is the bottom isn't quite flat, there's an intentional flat spot. Feels like more refined AIO hardware than the Rythm 1-2g (also made by Active), about the same thickness if not exact.
Nose
Hashy, earthy, lemon.
Method
2-4 second pulls at a time, no more than twice back-to-back.
Taste
Hashy lemon up front with a lightly nutty, sweet finish.
Effects
Clear, energetic, lightly stoney. Effect lands slightly above medium, on par for the balance I expect with MFNY.
Best for: Daytime, active and social use
Value
Price: $60/g
Fair for a well-built AIO at this quality. The flavor and hardware justify the price, and I'd reach for this over the 510 Sour Diesel.
Conclusion
9.5/10
This thing is great. Flavor is excellent and the effect is slightly above medium, which is right where I expect MFNY to land. I've read complaints about a plastic taste on the backend, and I found that to be true only if you pull too frequently or too long. Maybe neither here nor there for some, but I enjoyed the AIO more than the 510 Sour Diesel, which I ran with a variety of battery configurations. That's specific to this strain, not a blanket preference for AIOs over 510s.
Pros:
- Refined AIO hardware, well-tuned temperature
- True Sour Diesel flavor, hashy lemon with a nutty sweet finish
- Clear, energetic effect that beats the 510 version of this strain
Cons:
- Slight plastic taste on the backend if you pull too long or too often
- Bottom isn't fully flat (minor design quibble)
